Bonfire and Kerchief Ceremony

The first pack event each year is the annual Pack Bonfire that symbolizes the start of the new year for the Scouts. This provides an opportunity for the scouts and family members to meet other members of the Pack outside their Den.

The Scouts will receive their neckerchief & sliders during the Bonfire ceremony. Creating a Bonfire at each outside Pack event is a tradition among the scouting committee.

What to bring to the Bonfire

  • S'mors for your Scout to enjoy!
  • A Jar to collect Bonfire ashes to keep or add them to a BSA Bonfires at a later event
  • A rehearsed Scout skit
  • Flashlights & extra lanterns for stage lights
  • Seats for the parents
